The Coppell Police Department is currently investigating numerous criminal mischiefs that have occurred during the months of August and September.
Over 65 vehicles have been vandalized in the area of Raintree Circle, Village Green, Allen Road, Chafont, Spyglass, Shorewood and Deforest Road. The offenses involve the slashing of tires and/or scratching of paint on the vehicles. There has also been the burning of 6 American flags.
The time of these offenses varies between 1:00 am to 7:00 am, and they occurred on the following nights:
- 8/12/11 (Friday) into the morning of 8/13/11 (Saturday)
- 8/17/11(Wednesday) into the morning of 8/18/11 (Thursday)
- 8/30/11 (Tuesday) into the morning of 8/31/11 (Wednesday)
- 9/8/11 (Thursday) into the morning of 9/9/11 (Friday)
Other than MO, no similarities have been uncovered. It does not appear to be victim specific. There have been no common factors identified among the various victims.
