10/19/2011 - Crime of the Week

UPDATE 10/26/11THE SUSPECTS AND VEHICLE HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED, AND THE SUSPECTS ARE NOW IN CUSTODY.

On 10/19/11 at approximately 12:15 pm, several thefts occurred at the Coppell High School locker rooms.  Items taken included an HTC cell phone, HP laptop computer and a myTouch 4G phone.  The suspects are 3 Hispanic males approximately 17-21 years of age.  The suspects were last seen driving a newer model gold 4 door sedan with a sunroof and spoiler (the car is believed to be an Infiniti G25 or G37).

9/9/2011 - Crime of the Week

UPDATE 9/16/11AN ARREST HAS NOW BEEN MADE IN THIS CASE.

The Coppell Police Department is currently investigating numerous criminal mischiefs that have occurred during the months of August and September. 

Over 65 vehicles have been vandalized in the area of Raintree Circle, Village Green, Allen Road, Chafont, Spyglass, Shorewood and Deforest Road.  The offenses involve the slashing of tires and/or scratching of paint on the vehicles.  There has also been the burning of 6 American flags.

The time of these offenses varies between 1:00 am to 7:00 am, and they occurred on the following nights:

 - 8/12/11 (Friday) into the morning of 8/13/11 (Saturday)

 - 8/17/11(Wednesday) into the morning of 8/18/11 (Thursday)

 - 8/30/11 (Tuesday) into the morning of 8/31/11 (Wednesday)

 - 9/8/11 (Thursday) into the morning of 9/9/11 (Friday)

Other than MO, no similarities have been uncovered.  It does not appear to be victim specific. There have been no common factors identified among the various victims.

1/11/2011 - Crime of the Week

 

On Friday, 01-07-11 at 4:43 am, four suspects entered the Coppell High School field house turf room at 185 W. Parkway Blvd. and caused extensive damage to the facility.  The suspects discharged fire extinguishers and damaged a track pole vaulting pit with a John Deere Gator ATV.
